I Prevail

I Prevail are an American post-hardcore and metalcore band formed in Southfield, Michigan (near Detroit) in 2013. The band gained early attention with a heavy cover of Taylor Swift's «Blank Space», which introduced them to a wide audience before the release of their own original material. Their sound blends aggressive breakdowns and unclean vocals with melodic, radio-friendly choruses, electronic textures, and at times rap-influenced elements.

The band's lineup has centered on clean vocalist Brian Burkheiser and unclean vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe, alongside guitarists and rhythm section members who have shifted somewhat over the years. Their 2016 debut album «Lifelines» produced hits like «Scars» and «Stuck in Your Head», establishing them as a major act in the modern metalcore and hard rock scene. Subsequent releases, including «Trauma» and «True Power», continued to push their sound toward a broader, more accessible hard rock territory while retaining heavier roots.

I Prevail have toured extensively, including stops on the Vans Warped Tour, and have won recognition at rock and metal award shows for songs like «Alone». They remain one of the more commercially successful bands to emerge from the 2010s post-hardcore wave.
