Greta Van Fleet

Greta Van Fleet is an American rock band from the small town of Frankenmuth, Michigan, formed by twin brothers Josh Kiszka (vocals) and Jake Kiszka (guitar), their younger brother Sam Kiszka (bass, keyboards), and drummer Danny Wagner. Raised on their parents' classic rock and blues vinyl collections, the band emerged in the mid-2010s playing a style deeply rooted in late-1960s and early-1970s hard rock, drawing immediate comparisons to Led Zeppelin for Josh Kiszka's soaring falsetto and the band's blues-driven riffs.

Early singles such as «Highway Tune», «Safari Song», and «Black Smoke Rising» brought the band rapid attention, topping rock radio charts and racking up massive streaming numbers before they had even released a full album. Their 2018 debut LP, Anthem of the Peaceful Army, cemented their arrival with the hit «When the Curtain Falls» and earned them a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

Greta Van Fleet continued to develop a more expansive, mythic sound on subsequent releases, incorporating prog and folk influences alongside their hard rock foundation. Praised early on by artists including Elton John, the band has become one of the most prominent acts credited with reviving mainstream interest in classic rock aesthetics for a new generation.
