Grayscale

Grayscale is an American rock band formed in Philadelphia in 2011, blending emo, pop punk, and alternative pop into an emotionally charged, hook-driven sound. The band's lineup has featured vocalist Collin Walsh, guitarist/vocalist Dallas Molster, guitarist Andrew Kyne, bassist Nick Ventimiglia, and drummer Nick Veno, and its name pays tribute to the band Basement.

After releasing early EPs including «Change» and «What We're Missing», Grayscale signed to Fearless Records, a label closely associated with the pop punk and emo revival scenes. Their debut full-length, «Adornment», arrived in 2017, followed by the more polished, expansive «Nella Vita» in 2019, which leaned further into pop and alternative textures while retaining the band's emotionally direct lyricism.

Songs like «Beautiful Things», «Fever Dream», and «Painkiller Weather» reflect the band's knack for pairing anxious, introspective songwriting with anthemic choruses, placing Grayscale within the wave of 2010s pop punk and emo-pop acts that pushed the genre toward brighter, more radio-friendly production while keeping its emotional core intact.
