Giles Corey

Giles Corey is the solo project of Dan Barrett, also known for his work in the bands Have a Nice Life and Black Wing. Recording quiet, acoustic-based music, Barrett named the project after the historical figure Giles Corey, a man pressed to death during the Salem witch trials for refusing to enter a plea — a fitting emblem for music steeped in themes of history, mortality, and the supernatural.
