George Thorogood and the Destroyers

George Thorogood is an American blues-rock guitarist and singer from Wilmington, Delaware, who leads the band George Thorogood and the Destroyers. Emerging in the mid-1970s, he built a reputation as a raw, high-energy slide-guitar player steeped in the Delta and Chicago blues tradition, channeling artists like John Lee Hooker, Elmore James and Bo Diddley through a stripped-down bar-band rock sound.

Much of his catalogue consists of blues and rock covers reinterpreted with a boozy, swaggering attitude, including his versions of «Who Do You Love?» and «One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer». His signature original, «Bad to the Bone», became one of the most recognizable riffs in rock history and a staple of film and television soundtracks, turning him into a symbol of tough, unpretentious American bar-rock.
