From First to Last

From First to Last is an American post-hardcore band that formed in the early 2000s, drawing members originally from Georgia and Florida before establishing itself in Los Angeles. The band became a notable name in the mid-2000s post-hardcore and screamo scene, known for aggressive, technically dense instrumentation paired with melodic vocal hooks and theatrical energy.

The band is perhaps most widely known for an early lineup that briefly included Sonny Moore — who later achieved massive fame as the electronic producer Skrillex — as vocalist, a period that brought the group significant attention even as the lineup evolved afterward. Songs like «Note to Self» and «Ride the Wings of Pestilence» captured the band's blend of chaotic breakdowns, sung-and-screamed vocal interplay and dark, emotionally charged lyrics typical of the post-hardcore genre at its commercial peak.
