About the artist
FrnkIero andthe Cellabration is the solo project of Frank Iero, best known as rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist of My Chemical Romance. After MCR's 2013 breakup, Iero launched this outfit as an outlet for rawer, more personal songwriting than his main band allowed, mixing punk energy with melodic pop-rock hooks and confessional lyrics about anxiety, grief and self-doubt.
The project's debut album, Stomachaches (2014), established its sound: distorted guitars, urgent tempos and Iero's distinctive, slightly strained vocal delivery. Singles like «Weighted» and «Joyriding» showcased a band willing to sound scrappy and unpolished by design, closer to Iero's hardcore and pop-punk roots than to MCR's theatrical rock.
Iero later rebranded the project as Frank Iero and the Patience, then Frank Iero and the Future Violents, releasing further albums including Parachutes. Across these iterations he has remained a prolific, restless songwriter, treating each phase as a distinct chapter while keeping the same DIY, emotionally direct core.
