Foxing

Foxing are an American band from St. Louis, Missouri, formed in the early 2010s and known for blending indie rock, emo and math-rock influences with orchestral and electronic textures. The band is led by vocalist Conor Murphy and has featured guitarist Eric Hudson, along with other rotating members over the years, giving their sound a constantly evolving quality that resists easy genre labels — they have jokingly described themselves as "post-good."

After early releases including the EP «Old Songs» and a pair of split EPs, Foxing broke through with their debut full-length «The Albatross» in 2013, a record praised for its ambitious, emotionally raw songwriting. They followed with «Dealer» in 2015, pushing further into atmospheric and experimental territory, and then «Nearer My God» in 2018, widely regarded as a creative high point that incorporated horns, strings and electronic production alongside their guitar-driven core.

Songs like «Rory», «The Medic» and «Grand Paradise» showcase the band's ability to move between intimate, quiet passages and cathartic, explosive choruses. Foxing have built a dedicated following within the American emo and indie-rock revival scenes, earning a reputation as one of the more restless and inventive acts of their generation.
