Fort Atlantic

Fort Atlantic is an American indie rock and pop band formed in Portland, Oregon in the late 2000s, built around vocalist and songwriter Ben Thornewill. The group emerged during a wave of anthemic, piano-and-guitar-driven indie rock acts, and their breakout track «Let Your Heart Hold Fast» became widely used in film and television trailers and soundtracks, helping the band reach an audience well beyond typical indie circles.

Their sound favors big, uplifting choruses, layered vocal harmonies, and a warm, organic instrumentation blending acoustic and electric textures. Songs such as «There Is Love» and «Up From the Ground» continued this feel-good, motivational tone, making the band a natural fit for sync licensing in commercials and shows.
