Fleet Foxes

Fleet Foxes are an indie folk band formed in Seattle, Washington, led by singer-songwriter Robin Pecknold. The group emerged in the late 2000s as part of a wave of American folk revival acts, quickly drawing attention for their lush vocal harmonies, pastoral imagery, and richly layered acoustic arrangements that recalled 1960s and 70s folk and West Coast rock traditions.

Their self-titled debut album and songs like «White Winter Hymnal» and «Mykonos» established the band's signature sound: cascading multi-part harmonies, fingerpicked guitar, and evocative, nature-steeped lyrics. Subsequent albums, including «Helplessness Blues», expanded the palette with more intricate song structures and introspective songwriting, while later work such as «Crack-Up» and «Shore» moved toward denser, more orchestral arrangements.

The band's lineup has included Skyler Skjelset, Casey Wescott, Christian Wargo, and Morgan Henderson alongside Pecknold, contributing guitar, keyboards, bass, and a range of additional instrumentation including woodwinds and violin. Fleet Foxes remain one of the defining groups of the 2000s–2010s indie folk revival, admired for their choral vocal arrangements and meticulous studio craft.
