Finn Wolfhard

Finn Wolfhard is a Canadian actor and musician, born December 23, 2002, in Vancouver, British Columbia. He rose to international fame playing Mike Wheeler in the Netflix series Stranger Things and has since appeared in films including It and Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Alongside his acting career, Wolfhard pursued music as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the Vancouver indie rock band Calpurnia, formed with fellow teenage musicians in 2018.

Calpurnia's sound drew on jangly, melodic indie and garage rock, drawing comparisons to bands like Pavement and Mac DeMarco despite the members' young age. The band released the EP «Scout» in 2018 through Royal Mountain Records, earning attention as much for its songwriting as for Wolfhard's celebrity profile, before going on hiatus so members could pursue education and other projects.

Wolfhard later formed the duo The Aubreys with musician Will Coyle, continuing to explore lo-fi indie rock and pop songwriting. His music work reflects a broader trend of young actors using their platform to build genuine creative outlets, with critics generally noting his musicianship stands on its own merits within the Vancouver indie scene.
