Finger Eleven

Finger Eleven are a Canadian rock band formed in Burlington, Ontario in 1990, initially performing under the name Rainbow Butt Monkeys before adopting their current name. Over their career the band evolved from a heavier alternative and post-grunge sound into a more melodic, radio-friendly rock style, reflecting a gradual shift across their catalogue of studio albums.

The band broke into the mainstream with their 2003 self-titled album, propelled by the single «One Thing», a moody, atmospheric track that became a defining hit and gave them their first entry on the US Hot 100. Their commercial peak came with 2007's Them vs. You vs. Me, led by the single «Paralyzer», a driving, hook-laden rock song that topped the Canadian Hot 100 and reached the upper tier of the US Hot 100, becoming one of the most recognisable Canadian rock singles of the 2000s.

Alongside these hits, Finger Eleven built a steady catalogue marked by dynamic shifts between heavier riffing and introspective, melodic songwriting, with tracks like «Slow Chemical» and «Good Intentions» showing their range. Their success helped establish them as one of the more durable Canadian rock exports of their generation, achieving gold and platinum certifications and maintaining an active touring and recording career well beyond their initial breakthrough.
