FIDLAR

FIDLAR — an acronym for «Fuck It Dog, Life's A Risk» — is a garage punk band from Los Angeles formed around Zac Carper, with Elvis Kuehn, Max Kuehn, and Brandon Schwarzel rounding out the classic lineup. Emerging from the LA DIY scene, the band built a reputation on raw, fast, self-produced recordings and a notoriously chaotic live show.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 2012, became a cult favorite for its unfiltered songs about partying, boredom, and self-destruction, delivered with fuzzed-out guitars and shout-along hooks. Songs like «Cocaine» and «No Waves» captured the band's brand of gleeful nihilism and skate-punk energy, and they toured alongside acts like The Hives and The Black Lips.

With their second album, Too, released in 2015, FIDLAR pushed toward a more polished production while grappling more openly with addiction and sobriety in songs like «40oz. On Repeat» and «Sober». The band has continued to release music that mixes punk aggression with surf and pop-rock sensibilities, remaining one of the defining acts of the modern LA garage punk revival.
