Everything Everything are an English art-rock band formed in Manchester in 2007, bringing together members originally from Northumberland, Kent and Guernsey. Fronted by Jonathan Higgs’ distinctive falsetto and dense, wordy lyrics, the band built a sound that fuses angular guitar work, jittery rhythms and unexpected pop hooks, drawing on influences ranging from Michael Jackson and The Beatles to Radiohead.

Their 2010 debut album Man Alive earned a Mercury Prize nomination and established their reputation for ambitious, genre-hopping songwriting, exemplified by early singles like «MY KZ, UR BF». The band went on to develop an increasingly widescreen and adventurous sound across subsequent releases, with tracks such as «No Reptiles», «Distant Past», «To the Blade» and «Hapsburg Lippp» showing their ability to pair experimental structures with anthemic choruses.

Over the years Everything Everything have become known for tackling political and social themes within intricate, layered arrangements, songs like «The Wheel (Is Turning Now)» and «Spring / Sun / Winter / Dread» reflecting their restless approach to songcraft. Their willingness to shift textures — from art-funk to progressive rock to synth-driven pop — has made them one of the more distinctive and consistently inventive bands to emerge from the UK guitar scene of the late 2000s.
