El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, often shortened to «El Mató», is an Argentine indie rock band formed in La Plata in the mid-2000s. The group built its reputation on a hazy, reverb-drenched guitar sound that draws on Krautrock's motorik pulse and lo-fi indie pop, wrapped around plainspoken, often melancholic Spanish-language lyrics. Their early recordings circulated informally online before word of mouth turned them into one of the most influential acts of the Argentine and broader Latin American independent rock scene.

The band's core lineup has centered on Santiago Motorizado on bass and vocals, alongside guitarists, a drummer and a keyboardist who have rounded out the group's dense, layered arrangements. Albums such as «Navidad de Reserva», «Un Millón de Euros» and later «La Dinastía Scorpio» and «Idioteando en la Timba Espacial» showcase a progression from raw, fuzzed-out guitar pop toward more polished but still atmospheric songwriting, with tracks like «Un Amor Violento» and «Cindy» becoming scene staples.
