Dispatch

Dispatch is an American band formed in the Boston area, built around the shared vocals, guitars, and multi-instrumental interplay of Brad Corrigan, Pete Francis Heimbold, and Chad Urmston. Rooted in indie and roots rock with strong folk and reggae-tinged influences, the band built a devoted grassroots following in the late 1990s largely through live shows and word of mouth rather than mainstream radio, becoming one of the defining acts of the college-circuit jam and roots scene of that era.

After going on hiatus in 2002, Dispatch reconvened for a series of high-profile reunion shows, including massive benefit concerts in Boston, before fully reactivating in 2011. Their comeback was marked by new material and «Circles Around the Sun», their first studio album in over a decade, which reaffirmed the band's blend of warm vocal harmonies, jangling acoustic-electric guitar work, and loose, groove-driven rhythms.

The band continued releasing music in the years that followed, including the album «America, Location 12» and songs like «Only The Wild Ones» and «Curse + Crush», sustaining a career defined by community-oriented fan engagement, extensive touring, and a sound that draws as comfortably from folk and rock as from reggae and hip-hop-adjacent grooves. Dispatch remains known for its live energy and the enduring loyalty of the fanbase it built well before the streaming era.
