Dirty Heads

Dirty Heads are an American band formed in the mid-1990s in the Huntington Beach and Fullerton area of Southern California. Built around vocalists and multi-instrumentalists Dustin Bushnell (Duddy B) and Jared Watson (Dirty J), the group blends reggae rhythms, rock guitars, hip-hop-style vocal delivery and pop hooks into a laid-back, beach-influenced sound that became a hallmark of the Southern California reggae-rock scene alongside acts like Sublime and Slightly Stoopid.

The band built a large following through constant touring and singles such as «Lay Me Down», «Vacation» and «Oxygen», tracks that showcase their signature mix of melodic hooks, chill grooves and occasional rap verses. Their music often carries themes of travel, freedom and easygoing California living, delivered with a distinctive interplay between smooth singing and rhythmic rapping.
