Dan Fogelberg

Dan Fogelberg was an American singer-songwriter who became one of the defining voices of soft rock and adult-contemporary music in the 1970s and early 1980s. Born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, into a musical family, he moved through the Midwest folk and rock scenes before relocating to Los Angeles, where he found a mentor and manager who helped shape his early recording career.

His songwriting favored introspective, richly melodic ballads built on acoustic guitar and piano, often incorporating orchestral arrangements and elements of folk, country, and soft rock. His breakthrough album «Home Free» established him as a sensitive singer-songwriter, but it was records like «The Innocent Age» that cemented his commercial and artistic peak, yielding some of his most enduring songs about family, memory, and lost love.
