About the artist
David Crowder is an American Christian worship musician, best known as the frontman of the David Crowder*Band, one of the most influential worship acts of the 2000s, later reformed as The Digital Age. Based out of Waco, Texas, Crowder was closely tied to the University Baptist Church and the Passion movement, writing and performing music for Passion conferences and albums for many years.
After the David Crowder*Band disbanded in 2012, Crowder launched a solo career, kicking things off with the It'll Cure What Ails Ya tour, which reworked the band's past hits in a bluegrass-leaning style. His solo debut, Neon Steeple, followed in 2013 and set the tone for his later work, blending Americana, bluegrass, and gospel textures with anthemic worship songwriting.
Songs like «Come as You Are» and «My Victory» became staples of contemporary worship, and Crowder has continued to release solo albums that mix roots instrumentation with electronic and pop production, keeping him a distinctive voice within the Christian and worship music scene.
