Citizen Soldier

Citizen Soldier is a rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah, formed in 2016 around frontman Jake Segura. The project began in deeply personal circumstances: Segura wrote the lyrics to «Let It Burn», the band's debut single, while he was in a psychiatric hospital. That origin shaped everything that followed — the band's music speaks directly to mental illness, addiction, abuse, and the isolation that often comes with them.

Musically the group blends hard rock and post-hardcore energy with pop-leaning hooks and occasional electronic textures, favoring big, anthemic choruses built for catharsis rather than technical showmanship.
