Chelsea Grin

Chelsea Grin is an American deathcore band formed in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2007. The group built its reputation within the deathcore scene through relentless breakdowns, guttural vocals, and technically dense guitar work, becoming one of the genre's most recognizable names alongside acts like Suicide Silence and Whitechapel.

The band has gone through numerous lineup changes over the years, with vocalist Tom Barber remaining a central figure. Their sound blends brutal, downtuned riffing with melodic lead guitar passages, a combination that helped distinguish them from purely one-dimensional slam or breakdown-focused bands. Songs such as «Recreant» and «Playing with Fire» showcase this mix of aggression and technicality.

Chelsea Grin has built a dedicated following through constant touring on the American metal and hardcore circuit, sharing stages with major deathcore and metalcore acts.
