Chef'Special

Chef'Special is a Dutch band from Haarlem, formed in 2008. The lineup features lead vocalist Joshua Nolet alongside guitarist Guido Joseph, bassist Jan Derks, keyboardist Wouter Heeren and drummer Wouter Jerry Prudon. Their sound draws on pop, rock and rap influences with electronic textures, giving them a versatile, radio-friendly identity within the Dutch pop-rock scene while retaining a warm, band-driven core.

The group broke through nationally in 2014 with «In Your Arms», a deeply personal song Nolet wrote about the recent death of his father, which struck a chord well beyond the Netherlands' indie circuit and became their signature track. Building on that momentum, Chef'Special released three studio albums — One for the Mrs., Passing Through and Amigo — along with a trio of EPs: Hungry, Shot in the Dark and the self-titled Chef'Special EP, steadily expanding their catalogue and audience.

Their live reputation grew alongside the records; in 2016 the band opened for Twenty One Pilots on the EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW tour, a high-profile support slot that introduced them to international audiences. Tracks such as «Nicotine», «Amigo» and «Because I Love You» reflect the band's knack for blending emotional songwriting with an upbeat, genre-mixing sound.
