Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns is an American contemporary Christian rock band formed in Daytona Beach, Florida, that debuted in 1999 under the leadership of pastor and songwriter Mark Hall. Distinctively, several of its members serve as ministers within their church, and the band's music grew directly out of a youth ministry context, giving its songs a pastoral, congregational quality that set it apart within Christian music.

The band became one of the best-selling and most decorated acts in the genre, earning numerous Dove Awards and a Grammy Award, and becoming one of the fastest Christian acts to have its first two albums certified platinum.
