Cameron Winter

Cameron Winter is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the frontman and guitarist of the Brooklyn-based post-punk band Geese, formed while its members were still in high school. With Geese he released acclaimed records that blend jagged guitar work, unpredictable song structures and a raw, theatrical vocal delivery, drawing comparisons to art-rock and post-punk lineages while carving out a distinct identity.

In 2024 Winter stepped out as a solo artist, first with the «Singles» a/b side project, which leaned into a stripped-down singer-songwriter style focused on lyricism over dense instrumentation. This was followed by his debut solo album «Heavy Metal», released in December 2024 to widespread critical praise for its ambitious songwriting, piano-driven arrangements and unusual vocal phrasing.

Winter's solo work is often described as more intimate and eccentric than his output with Geese, showcasing a songwriter unafraid of long, winding song forms and unconventional structures. He briefly played in an earlier project called Men of the Reef before Geese's rise. Across both his band and solo output, Winter has built a reputation as one of the more inventive voices in contemporary indie and post-punk-adjacent rock.
