Biffy Clyro

Biffy Clyro are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, in the mid-1990s. The trio consists of Simon Neil on guitar and lead vocals, alongside twin brothers James Johnston on bass and Ben Johnston on drums. Over their career they moved from a more angular, math-rock-inflected sound on their early records toward a bigger, more anthemic alternative rock and post-hardcore style, eventually crossing into mainstream rock radio and festival headline slots across the UK.

The band built its reputation through relentless touring and a devoted fanbase before achieving broader commercial success with albums that blended heavy riffs, unconventional song structures, and melodic hooks. Tracks such as «Many of Horror», «Bubbles», «Machines» and «Wolves of Winter» showcase their range, from raw, dissonant energy to sweeping, emotionally direct anthems.
