Bad Wolves

Bad Wolves are an American metal band formed in Los Angeles in 2017, built around vocalist Tommy Vext, drummer John Boecklin, guitarists Doc Coyle and Chris Cain, and bassist Kyle Konkiel. The band is managed by Zoltan Bathory of Five Finger Death Punch, and they emerged from the modern hard rock scene alongside acts like Five Finger Death Punch and In This Moment, blending groove metal riffing with radio-friendly hooks and Vext's melodic-to-aggressive vocal delivery.

The group broke through in early 2018 with a cover of The Cranberries' «Zombie», released just before singer Dolores O'Riordan's death; the track became one of the most-streamed rock songs of the era and propelled their debut album Disobey (2018) into the mainstream rock conversation. Earlier singles «Learn to Live» and «Toast to the Ghost» established their sound before that breakout moment.

The band underwent significant lineup turnover in the years that followed. Tommy Vext departed in 2021 over political disagreements with other members and was replaced by Daniel «DL» Laskiewicz, formerly of The Acacia Strain. Further changes followed, including the exits of Chris Cain, Doc Coyle, and Kyle Konkiel, with new members joining to keep the band active. Despite the churn, Bad Wolves remain a fixture of contemporary rock festival bills and rock radio.
