About the artist
All That Remains is an American metal band formed in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1998 by vocalist Phil Labonte, who left Shadows Fall to make it his full-time project. The band emerged from the New England metalcore scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s, initially rooted in melodic death metal before evolving toward a more radio-friendly metalcore and hard rock sound over the following decade.
Albums such as The Fall of Ideals and Overcome brought the band mainstream rock-radio success with singles like «Two Weeks» and «This Calling», tracks that paired heavy, riff-driven verses with melodic, hook-laden choruses — a formula that helped distinguish them from more strictly deathcore or metalcore-purist peers. Guitarist Oli Herbert, a member from the band's formation until his death in 2018, was a key architect of the band's dual-guitar sound and intricate lead work across their catalogue.
Over more than two decades and multiple lineup changes, All That Remains has remained one of the more commercially successful acts to emerge from the American metalcore movement, balancing aggressive instrumentation with accessible songwriting across a steady stream of studio albums.
