About the artist
Alexandra Savior is an American singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon, known for her moody, cinematic take on indie rock and pop. Her sound draws on 1960s girl-group and noir influences filtered through a modern, atmospheric production style, giving her music a dreamlike, retro-tinged quality.
Savior first gained wider attention through her collaboration with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, who co-wrote and produced material on her debut album Belladonna of Sadness. She is also known for co-writing and performing «Risk», the theme song for the third season of HBO’s True Detective. Her work with Turner and Tame Impala bassist Cameron Avery, along with her stint touring as support for The Last Shadow Puppets, helped establish her within a wider circle of alternative and psych-rock-adjacent artists.
Her subsequent releases, including the album The Archer, have continued to explore melancholic, richly textured songwriting, cementing her reputation as a distinctive voice in contemporary indie rock.
