Admiral Bailey, born Glendon Bailey, is a Jamaican deejay from Kingston who rose to prominence as one of the leading voices of the dancehall movement in the second half of the 1980s. Known affectionately as the original «Big Belly Man», he built a reputation on his descriptive, often humorous lyricism and a distinctive, unmistakable vocal delivery that set him apart from many of his contemporaries. His breakthrough hit «Punnany» became a dancehall anthem and remains one of the defining tracks of the era.
