AC/DC

AC/DC is an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who remained the group's constant core for decades. Distancing themselves from genre labels like hard rock or heavy metal, the band has always described themselves simply as a rock and roll band, built around raw guitar riffs, driving rhythm, and unpretentious lyrical bravado.

After early years with singer Dave Evans, Bon Scott took over on vocals and fronted the band through a run of albums including High Voltage, T.N.T., Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Let There Be Rock, Powerage, and Highway to Hell. Following Scott's death in 1980, Brian Johnson joined as vocalist and the band recorded Back in Black, an album that became one of the best-selling records in music history and cemented AC/DC's status as arena-rock legends.

With hits like "Thunderstruck," "You Shook Me All Night Long," and "Highway to Hell," AC/DC's stripped-down, riff-driven sound has influenced generations of rock and metal bands. Malcolm Young stepped away from the group in 2014 due to health issues and passed away in 2017, but Angus Young has continued to carry the band's legacy forward.
