A Day to Remember

A Day To Remember are a post-hardcore/pop-punk band formed in Ocala, Florida, known for pioneering a hybrid sound that blends melodic pop-punk hooks with heavy breakdowns and metalcore aggression — an approach that helped define the «easycore» subgenre. After signing with Victory Records, the band's third album Homesick brought them to national prominence, and their following release What Separates Me From You further cemented their crossover appeal between the hardcore and mainstream punk audiences.

Songs such as «If It Means A Lot To You» and «All I Want» showcase the band's signature contrast between soaring, anthemic choruses and crushing breakdowns, a formula that made them a defining act for a generation of pop-punk and hardcore fans in the late 2000s and 2010s. The band's relationship with Victory Records became famously contentious, culminating in a lawsuit over unpaid royalties that the band won, allowing them to self-release their fifth album Common Courtesy independently.

That legal battle and the resulting independence became a significant part of the band's story, reinforcing their reputation for standing firm on creative and financial control. Since then, A Day To Remember has continued to headline major tours and festivals, remaining one of the most consistently successful acts to emerge from the 2000s Warped Tour-era hardcore and pop-punk scenes.
