Letra y traducción

[Intro]

[Intro]

"And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder

«Y oí, como si fuera, la voz de un trueno

One of the four beasts saying, 'Come and see'

And I saw, and behold a white horse"

Y miré, y he aquí un caballo blanco»

[Verse 1]

[Verso 1]

There's a man goin' 'round takin' names

Hay un hombre que anda tomando nombres

And he decides who to free and who to blame

Y decide a quién liberar y a quién culpar

Everybody won't be treated all the same

No todos serán tratados igual

There'll be a golden ladder reachin' down

Habrá una escalera dorada que descenderá

When the man comes around

Cuando el hombre venga

[Verse 2]

[Verso 2]

The hairs on your arm will stand up

Los pelos de tu brazo se erizarán

At the terror in each sip and in each sup

Will you partake of that last offered cup

¿Beberás de esa última copa ofrecida

Or disappear into the potter's ground?

O desaparecerás en la tierra del alfarero?

When the man comes around

Cuando el hombre venga

[Chorus]

[Coro]

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers

Escucha las trompetas, escucha las flautas

One hundred million angels singin'

Cien millones de ángeles cantando

Multitudes are marchin' to the big kettledrum

Multitudes marchando hacia el gran timbal

Voices callin', voices cryin'

Voces llamando, voces llorando

Some are born and some are dyin'

Unos nacen y otros mueren

It's Alpha and Omega's kingdom come

And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree

The virgins are all trimming their wicks

Las vírgenes están recortando sus mechas

The whirlwind is in the thorn tree

It's hard for thee to kick against the pricks

[Verse 3]

[Verso 3]

Till Armageddon, no shalam, no shalom

Hasta el Armagedón, ni shalam, ni shalom

Then the father hen will call his chickens home

The wise men will bow down before the throne

Los sabios se inclinarán ante el trono

And at his feet, they'll cast their golden crowns

Y a sus pies echarán sus coronas doradas

When the man comes around

Cuando el hombre venga

[Verse 4]

[Verso 4]

Whoever is unjust, let him be unjust still

Whoever is righteous, let him be righteous still

Whoever is filthy, let him be filthy still

Listen to the words long written down

Escuchen las palabras escritas hace tiempo

When the man comes around

Cuando el hombre venga

[Chorus]

[Coro]

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers

Escucha las trompetas, escucha las flautas

One hundred million angels singin'

Cien millones de ángeles cantando

Multitudes are marchin' to the big kettledrum

Multitudes marchando hacia el gran timbal

Voices callin', voices cryin'

Voces llamando, voces llorando

Some are born and some are dyin'

Unos nacen y otros mueren

It's Alpha and Omega's kingdom come

And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree

The virgins are all trimming their wicks

Las vírgenes están recortando sus mechas

The whirlwind is in the thorn tree

It's hard for thee to kick against the pricks

In measured hundredweight and penny pound

En peso medido de quintales y libras

When the man comes around

Cuando el hombre venga

[Outro]

[Outro]

"And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts [...]

And I looked, and behold a pale horse:

Y miré, y he aquí un caballo amarillento

And his name that sat on him was Death

And Hell followed with him"

Y el Hades le seguía»

Preguntas frecuentes

¿De qué trata "The Man Comes Around"?
