Escrita y producida junto a Louis Bell y Amy Allen, entre otros, la canción se interpreta ampliamente como una referencia a su relación con el rapero G-Eazy, describiendo cómo apoyó y elevó a una pareja que luego la dio por sentada al alcanzar el éxito. La letra gira en torno a la acusación central de que él pensó que podía prosperar «sin ella», pese a que fue ella quien lo llevó a la cima.
