Letra y traducción
[Verse 1]
[Verso 1]
It's where I keep my heart
Es donde guardo mi corazón
Where I plan my routes
Donde planeo mis rutas
Where my soul comes from
De donde viene mi alma
Where I learnt to sing the blues
Donde aprendí a cantar el blues
Raised on the saving grace
Criado en la gracia salvadora
I live and love
Vivo y amo
My secret hiding place
Mi escondite secreto
When the world's too much
Cuando el mundo es demasiado
[Chorus]
[Coro]
Let the new shine fade
Deja que el nuevo brillo se apague
Let the lights burn out
Deja que las luces se extingan
Let the time slip away
Deja que el tiempo se escurra
And bury me in that ground
Y entiérrame en esa tierra
When I'm all used up
Cuando esté completamente gastado
And I'm old and grey
Y sea viejo y gris
When the well runs dry
Cuando el pozo se seque
And my mind just ain't the same
Y mi mente ya no sea la misma
Won't you set me free
¿No me dejarás libre?
Where the tall pine stays
Donde se yergue el pino alto
Where I was born to be
Donde nací para estar
Back in my homeland
De vuelta en mi tierra natal
[Verse 2]
[Verso 2]
The world may change
El mundo puede cambiar
But this whole town's still the same
Pero este pueblo entero sigue igual
There's that old dirt road
Está ese viejo camino de tierra
Next to that run down bank
Junto a ese banco ruinoso
There sits that beat up truck
Ahí está esa camioneta destartalada
In my dad's backyard
En el patio de mi papá
I can still hear it run
Todavía puedo oírla andar
When we used to drive it hard
Cuando solíamos conducirla a fondo
[Chorus]
[Coro]
Let the new shine fade
Deja que el nuevo brillo se apague
Let the lights burn out
Deja que las luces se extingan
Let the time slip away
Deja que el tiempo se escurra
And bury me in that ground
Y entiérrame en esa tierra
When I'm all used up
Cuando esté completamente gastado
And I'm old and grey
Y sea viejo y gris
When the well runs dry
Cuando el pozo se seque
And my mind just ain't the same
Y mi mente ya no sea la misma
Won't you set me free
¿No me dejarás libre?
Where the tall pine stays
Donde se yergue el pino alto
Where I was born to be
Donde nací para estar
Back in my homeland
De vuelta en mi tierra natal

Preguntas frecuentes
