Zedd

Zedd, born Anton Zaslavski, is a Russian-German DJ, producer, and songwriter from Kaiserslautern, Germany. He began his musical journey as a drummer in his brother's metal band before shifting toward electronic production. After reaching out to Skrillex online, he signed his early single "Shave It Up" to Skrillex's label OWSLA in 2011, launching his career in the dance music world.

Zedd broke through with his 2012 debut album Clarity, whose title track featuring English singer Foxes won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. The album established his signature sound: bright, melodic electro house with soaring pop hooks, positioning him at the intersection of EDM and mainstream pop. He went on to collaborate with major pop artists including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber, cementing his crossover appeal.

His 2015 sophomore album True Colors, featuring the hit "I Want You To Know" with Selena Gomez, further solidified his dual presence in pop and electronic music. Later singles such as "Stay" with Alessia Cara and "The Middle" with Grey and Maren Morris became major global hits, with "The Middle" achieving especially strong chart success. Zedd remains one of the most recognizable producers bridging EDM production with radio-friendly pop songwriting.
