Ylvis is a Norwegian comedy duo formed by brothers Bård Ylvisåker and Vegard Ylvisåker. Originally rising to fame as television hosts and comedians in Norway, the pair built a reputation for absurdist sketches and musical parodies long before achieving international recognition. The duo became a worldwide phenomenon in 2013 with «The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)», a novelty pop-electronic track accompanied by a surreal music video that went viral, topping charts in multiple countries and becoming one of the most-viewed videos on YouTube at the time. The song showcased their signature style: catchy electronic-pop production paired with deliberately nonsensical, comedic lyrics.
