Yalın

Yalın, born Hüseyin Yalın on 30 March 1980, is a Turkish pop and pop-rock singer-songwriter. His introduction to music came in childhood, listening to his father play Gipsy Kings songs on guitar, and he began writing his own material during high school. While studying economics at university, he recorded his first demo, which set him on the path to a professional recording career.

Yalın built his reputation on emotionally direct pop ballads and mid-tempo pop-rock, often centered on love, longing and heartbreak, delivered with a warm, accessible vocal style that made him one of Turkey's most recognizable singers of his generation. Songs such as «Zalim (Ellerine Sağlık)», «Sonsuz Ol», «Sesinde Aşk Var» and «Herşey Sensin» became staples of Turkish pop radio, alongside hits like «Günaydın», «Yeniden» and «Keyfi Yolunda Aşkı Sonunda».

As both performer and songwriter, Yalın has maintained a consistent presence in the Turkish pop scene for over two decades, valued for combining catchy, radio-friendly melodies with a more rock-influenced edge than many of his contemporaries. His catalogue remains a reference point for Turkish-language pop of the 2000s and 2010s.
