XG

XG is a seven-member Japanese girl group — HARVEY, JURIN, CHISA, COCONA, HINATA, MAYA and JURIA — formed under the XGALX label but based and promoted primarily out of South Korea, performing mostly in English. This unusual setup positions the group at the crossroads of J-pop and K-pop production systems, giving their sound the polish of K-pop training combined with English-language global ambitions.

The group debuted in March 2022 with the digital single «Tippy Toes», which quickly went viral, followed by «MASCARA». Their rap-driven track «GALZ XYPHER», part of the group's unofficial ‘XG Tape’ series, brought wider recognition to the group's rap line in late 2022. Their sound blends hip-hop, R&B, pop and electronic elements with sharp choreography and a bold, genre-fluid identity.

In January 2023, XG released their debut single album «SHOOTING STAR», followed later that year by their first mini-album «NEW DNA». Tracks like «PUPPET SHOW», «HYPNOTIZE» and «GRL GVNG» further showcase their range across confident pop-rap anthems and moodier R&B textures, establishing XG as a distinctive act aiming to redefine expectations for Japanese-origin groups on the global stage.
