Xavi, born Joshua Xavier Gutierrez, is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter from Arizona who emerged as one of the leading young voices in the corridos tumbados movement. Blending the storytelling tradition of regional Mexican music with contemporary pop sensibilities, he coined his own style, tumbado romantico, focused on heartbreak and youthful vulnerability rather than the narco themes common in the genre.

He broke through with the viral hit «La Diabla», which propelled him onto global charts and introduced his emotionally raw, guitar-driven sound to international audiences. Signed to Interscope Records, he became part of a new generation bridging Mexican regional traditions with mainstream American pop infrastructure.
