Wisin

Wisin, born Juan Luis Morera Luna, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton artist who first rose to fame as one half of Wisin & Yandel, one of the most commercially successful duos in the genre's history alongside acts like Daddy Yankee and Don Omar. Growing up alongside childhood friend Yandel, the pair built a catalogue of club and radio staples before each pursued solo work in the 2010s.

As a solo artist Wisin leaned into a blend of reggaeton, pop, and R&B, often pairing his raspy delivery with radio-friendly hooks and guest features from across Latin music. His solo debut El Sobreviviente in 2004 predated the duo's biggest years, but it was his post-Wisin & Yandel work, including El Regreso Del Sobreviviente and Los Vaqueros: La Trilogía, that cemented him as a viable act on his own.

His songs such as «Escápate Conmigo» and «Todo Comienza en la Disco» reflect the collaborative, remix-heavy culture of reggaeton, where tracks are frequently reworked with additional artists to extend their reach across Latin American and US Latino markets. Wisin remains a fixture of the genre, respected as one of the artists who helped push reggaeton into the commercial mainstream.
