WINNER

WINNER is a South Korean boy group formed by YG Entertainment, made up of Kang Seungyoon, Song Mino, Lee Seunghoon, and Kim Jinwoo, with Nam Taehyun departing in 2016. The group first gained recognition through the 2013 survival show WIN: Who Is Next, in which they competed against a rival team for the chance to debut, ultimately earning the name WINNER after sweeping the public vote. Their 2014 debut, propelled by the top-charting single «Empty», is widely regarded as one of the strongest K-pop debuts of its era.

Unlike many K-pop acts built around choreography-driven spectacle, WINNER is known for heavy involvement in songwriting and production, particularly from Mino and Seungyoon, giving their catalogue a distinct singer-songwriter sensibility within a polished idol-pop framework. Their sound spans glossy pop, R&B-inflected ballads, electronic production, and hip-hop-leaning tracks, reflecting YG's signature blend of urban and pop influences.

Over the years WINNER has built a catalogue of hits including «REALLY REALLY», «Island», «Fool», and «Love Me Love Me», alongside subunit and solo projects from individual members. The group remains one of YG Entertainment's flagship acts and a consistent presence in the K-pop mainstream.
