Why Don't We

Why Don't We are an American pop boy band formed in Los Angeles in 2016, consisting of Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson, Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery and Zach Herron. Before joining forces, each member had already built an online following through cover videos and livestreams, with Seavey previously appearing on American Idol. The group's chemistry and vocal blend quickly set them apart in a boy band landscape that had been relatively quiet since the early 2010s.

Their sound draws on pop, R&B and light electronic production, often layered over close five-part harmonies that echo classic boy band arrangements while staying current with contemporary radio trends. Early singles such as «Something Different» and a string of 2017 EPs built a devoted fanbase largely through social media, and the Ed Sheeran-penned «Trust Fund Baby» marked a commercial breakthrough in 2018.

The band's debut full-length album arrived in August 2018, led by the chart-topping single «Talk», cementing their place among the most successful young vocal groups of the late 2010s. Their catalogue mixes upbeat, hook-driven pop with more emotionally direct ballads, reflecting both the group's youth-oriented fanbase and their ambitions toward a broader pop audience.
