Virgoun

Virgoun, full name Virgoun Teguh Putra Tambunan, is an Indonesian singer-songwriter best known as the vocalist and songwriter of the band Last Child before launching a solo career. His breakout solo moment came in 2016 with «Surat Cinta Untuk Starla,» a piano-driven ballad written for his daughter Starla, which became one of the most widely streamed and covered Indonesian pop songs of its era and turned him into a solo star independent of his band work.

His music sits within contemporary Indonesian pop, leaning on emotionally direct lyrics, romantic and family-themed storytelling, and radio-friendly ballad arrangements that blend pop with light R&B textures. Following the success of «Surat Cinta Untuk Starla,» he released «Bukti» in 2017, dedicated to his wife, cementing a pattern of intensely personal songwriting drawn from his own life and relationships.

Virgoun has continued to release solo singles alongside his ongoing work with Last Child, maintaining a public image closely tied to themes of love, family and heartbreak that resonate strongly with Indonesian pop audiences.
