V (뷔)

V, born Kim Taehyung on 30 December 1995 in Daegu, South Korea, is a singer-songwriter, producer, and actor best known as a member of the global K-pop group BTS. Distinguished by his deep baritone voice, a striking contrast to the higher registers common in the group, V has become known for his soulful, emotionally rich vocal style across both group work and solo material.

Outside BTS, V has built a body of solo work marked by introspective, often melancholic songwriting, including tracks like «Winter Bear», «Sweet Night», and «Stigma», as well as collaborative pieces such as «FRI(END)S» and «Christmas Tree». He co-wrote and co-produced material early in his career, including the song «4 O'Clock», showing his hand in the group's songwriting beyond performance. His debut solo studio album, «Layover», released in 2023, further showcased his affinity for retro soul and jazz-inflected R&B.

Beyond music, V is also recognized as an actor, having starred in the 2016 historical drama «Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth», and as a visual artist and photographer working under the pseudonym Vante.
