Two Feet

Two Feet is the solo project of American singer, songwriter and producer Bill Dess, based in New York City. He emerged in the mid-2010s with a stripped-down, guitar-driven sound built on hazy production, growled vocals and a moody, brooding intensity that set him apart from the glossier pop of the era. His breakout track, «Go Fuck Yourself», was uploaded almost on impulse and quickly spread through blogs and streaming playlists, propelling him into the alternative/indie-pop conversation alongside artists such as Chet Faker, Darkside and Citizen Cope.

His debut EP, «First Steps», released in 2016 on an independent label, established the blueprint he would return to throughout his catalogue: minimal arrangements, raw emotion and a DIY recording ethos. Songs like «I Feel Like I'm Drowning», «Love is a Bitch» and «Had Some Drinks» extended this sound, mixing elements of blues, rock and electronic production.

Over time Two Feet expanded his palette, incorporating more polished pop and R&B textures while retaining the confessional, sometimes confrontational songwriting that first drew listeners in. He remains known as an independent-minded artist who built a large following largely through streaming platforms and word of mouth rather than traditional label marketing.
