Tom Cardy is an Australian musical comedian, improviser and multi-instrumentalist from Sydney, whose background in improv theatre, sketch comedy and university revues shaped his approach to songwriting. Rather than following a conventional pop career path, he built a large online following through short-form comedy music videos, blending catchy, genre-hopping instrumentals with absurdist, deadpan or emotionally exaggerated lyrics on tracks such as «Red Flags» and «Mixed Messages».
