Todrick Hall

Todrick Hall is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer and YouTube personality who built a large following through elaborate, highly produced music videos and pop-culture parodies. He first gained national attention as a contestant on American Idol before returning to musical theater and appearing in the Broadway ensemble of Memphis, and he later became known for viral videos blending Broadway staging with mainstream pop hits, including a Beyoncé-inspired flash mob and a Disney-princess-themed parody that drew attention from major pop stars.

His music draws heavily on pop, hip-hop and R&B, frequently addressing his identity as a Black, gay man in America with candor and humor, as heard in songs like «I Like Boys», «Fag» and «Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels». Hall's releases often function as concept pieces, weaving narrative and theatrical staging into music videos rather than standing as standalone singles, a hallmark of his self-directed, DIY approach to visual pop music.
