Timeflies

Timeflies is an American duo formed at Tufts University, consisting of producer Rob Resnick and vocalist Cal Shapiro. The pair originally played together in a funk band before forming Timeflies in 2010, quickly gaining attention online through their «Timeflies Tuesday» video series, in which they reworked and mashed up current chart hits in their own style. This online presence built a large following before they signed to Island/Def Jam.

Musically, Timeflies blend pop songwriting with the production techniques and energy of EDM, layering Shapiro's vocals and rap verses over Resnick's dance-influenced beats. Their breakthrough single «I Choose U» arrived in 2013, followed by their debut full-length album, which charted well on release. Subsequent albums expanded on their radio-friendly, upbeat sound, including collaborations such as the T-Pain-featuring «Somebody Gon Get It».

Known for a prolific, internet-driven approach to releasing music, Timeflies built their career on consistent engagement with fans through covers and originals alike, establishing themselves as a duo that bridges pop, EDM, and hip-hop influences within a distinctly upbeat, danceable sound.
