The Super Mario Players

The Super Mario Players are a fictional in-game band featured in the Nintendo video game Super Mario Odyssey. Led by the character Pauline, the mayor of New Donk City, the group performs the game's signature theme «Jump Up, Super Star!» during a memorable set-piece in the Metro Kingdom, as well as during the climactic finale in the Darker Side of the Moon.

Musically, the band's sound channels a bright, brassy big-band pop style with disco and jazz influences, matching the vibrant, retro-futuristic aesthetic of New Donk City itself. «Jump Up, Super Star!» became one of the most recognized pieces of music from the game, praised for its catchy, upbeat energy and its integration into gameplay, where the player-controlled Mario dances and interacts with the performance.
