The Knocks

The Knocks are an American electronic production and DJ duo from New York City, comprised of James «JPatt» Patterson and Ben «B-Roc» Ruttner. They first gained attention with remix work, including a full remix of Jay-Z’s American Gangster album, before establishing themselves as producers and songwriters with their own dance-pop identity.

The duo’s sound draws on disco, funk, soul, and rap, filtered through polished, radio-friendly electronic production, giving their music a distinctly New York-inspired, carefree dance sensibility.
